A contribution to the Makers for a Cause raffle. April 2026

For the tray, I revisited an approach I’d experimented with before, casting solid acrylic blocks first, then carving the piece out of them rather than pouring directly into a mold. That cross cut reveals dramatic shifts in the cells and color movement, almost like crystal or mineral-like formations hidden inside the pour. I carried a transparent infinity symbol all the way through the tray to represent the infinite variation, strengths, and perspectives within neurodiversity. For the coasters and caddy, I took a “quieter” approach. Still plenty of motion, but slowed down. Muted tones, a matte finish, paired with leopardwood. It may seem subtle, but I put a lot of thought into the shapes of the coasters, using curved sides that bow away from the flat sides of the puzzle piece, with straight edges set against the curved tabs. I dug it. I carried the puzzle cutout into the cork lining of the caddy. Tried to make this one a little warmer, a little more grounded. Different, not less. Really honored to contribute something to a cause close to my heart.
